Welcome

It is hard to believe November is almost here. I love Fall; all the colors, football heating up, and celebrating Thanksgiving. Any excuse to eat turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie is alright with me. During November, we will be exploring the topic of being Thankful People in our Give Thanks sermon Series. 

1. November 2 - Give Thanks through Praise, Psalm 100
2. November 9 - Give Thanks through Generosity, Jeremiah 33.10-13
3. November 16 - Give Thanks through Service, Nehemiah 12. 24
4. November 23 - Give Thanks through Celebration, 1 Corinthians 11. 23-32

I am excited that we will be celebrating Communion for the first time together on November 23. My prayer is that by the end of the month, people will see Hedges Chapel as one of the most thankful places they have ever been around. Don't forget to invite someone to church this month. We have had a great response to our Find My Serve survey.  Pastor Rob is compiling the information and will be contacting folks soon.  If you haven't got to fill it out yet, you can download it from the link above, then bring it in the next time you are at church.

Pastor Rob uses the English Standard Version of the Bible. It is a modern, word-for-word translation that stands in the same tradition as the KJV. You are encouraged to bring the version of your choice to church. We have recently purchased paperbacks ESV's for the pews in case you want to follow along.

At Hedges Chapel, you will find a church deeply rooted in history and ready for upward and outward growth. Hedges Chapel is an affiliated church under the Churches of Christ in Christian Union.

We have Sunday School at 9:30 am for all ages. It is a great place to make friends and learn more about scripture.

Starting November 5th, we will begin a verse-by-verse study of the book of Genesis.

Pastor Rob and his wife, Amy, have been married for 31 years. Rob has been a pastor for 30 years and enjoys preaching life-applicable sermons.  His ministry focus is on helping people grow in Jesus and equipping them to do the same.  Rob and Amy have two adult sons, Adam and Jonathan, a daughter-in-law Zoë, and a wonderful grandson, Theo.

A time for all MS & HS students to come together to worship, study the word, enjoy a snack and fellowship.

Each meeting is designed to help students be a disciple and make a disciple.

Based on Timothy 4:12, our youth meet each Sunday to build their personal relationships with Jesus Christ.
